There are a total of 25 people on a Major League Baseball Teams active roster. At any given time only 9 players can take the field on defense, and on offense the maximum number of players in play is 4.

Safeco Field can hold 47,115 people. This seating capacity was completely filled on opening day of the stadium, July 15, 1999.

• The word jungle was derived from the Sanskrit word jangala which means wilderness
• Many jungles have little undergrowth because the trees block much of the sunlight
• Rain forests provide up to 40% of the oxygen found in the atmosphere
• South America’s Amazon Basin is the largest jungle, although the Congo and parts of South East Asia also have large jungles
• 1 1/2 acres of jungle are lost every second
• Over 3,000 fruits are found in the jungle
• A large amount of pharmaceutical products are derived from species found in the jungle although they have tested less than 1% of them
• A single pond in a Brazilian pond can support a greater variety of fish than is found in all of Europe’s rivers

Dominique Dawes won 1 gold medal in the 1996 Atlanta Team competition for gymnastics. She also won 2 bronze medals, the first one in the 1992 Barcelona Team competition, and the second one in the 1996 Atlanta floor excercise competition.
