Tibet - History the LK way

Most people believe that China didn’t “invade” Tibet per se. That being said if an invasion date were to be found it would be 1949-1950 and an occupation date would be 1951, only two years after the Peoples Republic of China was established. During this time China gathered up numerous tracts of land, regardless of the indigenous population such as in Tibet. In China’s defense, Tibet had been part of numerous dynasties which were “china-based” so in many ways this can be considered a re-occupation.

Perhaps you have observed a map as of late, and after glancing it over, asked yourself “why isn’t Tibet on the map?” – Because Tibet now “belongs” to the Peoples Republic of China, it is only a province in the PRC and therefore is unlikely to show up on the majority of maps. Not to mention they don’t call it Tibet for fear it will allow them to retain some sort of autonomy. For these reasons Tibet cannot be found on a map.

Luckily enough I have included a map to help show you where Tibet would be located if it was on a map.
